A West Virginia-based real estate professional, Patricia “Trish” Sanderson has served as a real estate broker at Crestar Realty in Harpers Ferry since 2005. In addition to holding a license as a REALTOR® broker and agent in West Virginia, Patricia Sanderson earned several other credentials, including the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation from the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), a subsidiary of the National Association of REALTORS®.

The ABR designation is a nationally recognized credential designed for real estate professionals who work with buyer-clients. To become an ABR, professionals must first take and pass the ABR Designation Course, which provides education related to building and maintaining a buyer-representation business.

Those who successfully complete the course then have three years to complete other designation requirements. The requirements include taking and passing an ABR elective course offered by REBAC. REBAC offers elective courses on a variety of topics, including short sales and foreclosures, real estate investing, and lead generation.

Those who meet all requirements within a three-year period are awarded the ABR designation.
